Scott has been actively engaged as a commercial real estate broker since March 2016. He has an extensive background in the fields of business, law, real estate development and finance, construction, leasing and sales. During and after practicing law for 18 years, Scott served as an executive with six different local companies, including one engaged in the development of residential subdivisions and another in the development of commercial condominium storage units. Scott was chosen 2008 Whatcom County Business Person of the Year by Whatcom Business Monthly magazine. Scott was the Chairman of the Board of the World Floor Covering Association headquartered in Georgia through 2016, and he has also served on a number of other boards for companies and non-profit organizations. Scott is a graduate of Sehome High, Whitman (Economics), Northwestern (JD) and George Washington University National Law Center (LLM Taxation). He is also a veteran (Navy JAG).
